Totem Traveller:
Madame Eleanor Saks tells the story:
“I had a sister named Claire. She was a theatre performer in Philadelphia. She had beautiful, long, black hair.
She died on stage during a performance when faulty rigging collapsed on top of her. I was devastated.
Years later, I was working as a psychic in a travelling Circus. Long days and nights, seeing into my crystal, giving people hope for the future, through messages from the past.
I would often daydream about travelling back in time, imagining ways to save her.
It was 1951, and our Circus was moving by Train through Kansas when the rains came. The hardest rain I’d seen. Most of the state was flooded, except the tracks. We travelled slowly and cautiously.
Then we spotted a family in trouble. They were stranded on top of a vehicle. We stopped and the Ringmaster took them aboard. They were travelling with a large Statue tied to the top of their Van. They used is as a raft to reach the train.
Once aboard, they gifted the statue to the Circus, as a token of thanks. It was then given to me as a prop for my psychic show. It was strangely beautiful, and very odd. More than that, it had a power of its own, one that you could feel.
I felt like it was communicating with me, giving me visions. I opened myself to them and this is what I learned:
All is consciousness.
All is energy.
All is light.
And light streams like time.
To refract one, you can splinter the other.
I thought that maybe a crystal could do this. However, not just any crystal. But one aged and worn, cracked and imperfect… like my crystal. Perhaps this was they key. The cracks create branches, alternate timelines, ones that the universe hides from linear reality. I only needed more power to break into them.

And now my dreams have brought me this power. The Totem. It is a seer like me, only with more power than I could ever exhaust in a single lifetime.
Its cleft is its ‘seeing point.’ A conduit into its broader energy. When my crystal is aligned with it, it’s like putting a key into a keyhole.
I only needed to practice ‘deep vision’ to unlock it. To bring infinity under my control.
And so I did.
Now, all time lay before me, like a hallway with many doors.
I need only choose the right door to go back and save Claire.
