From the ancients demonstrating the precession of the equinoxes to astronomical machines probing the wonders of the universe, we are part of a legacy of human knowledge that has been evolving over thousands of years. And so we are charged with continuing this collective effort, like our predecessors, to communicate what we’ve discovered—in essence, to leave a durable account of the secrets we found, to bridge the fullness of time, and survive the great cycles. But how? What monuments will we create to traverse the bad seasons?
