Abaddon translates as; a place of destruction; an underworld abode of lost souls : hell.
Yes, very dark. This image stirs you in ways you might not like. The darkest imagery I have come up with to date. It originally started as a historical landscape idea I did a few years ago. I was trying to recreate the volcanic eruption of Pompeii back in 79 AD using vacation pictures I took at the site over a decade ago.
Again, with the help of a few online resources, namely a roof fire, volcanic ash cloud and our star of the show, the human subject. All added together for the final image (excuse the pun) Here is the result and the elements:
